ABOUT MIRNA
A creative eye.
An analytical mind.
I’m Mirna—an artist, digital strategist and educator. I bring arts, business and digital experience together to help organizations understand their audiences and make practical improvements.
THE PERSON BEHIND THE WORK
Different perspectives.
One thoughtful approach.
My background is a mix of visual arts, business education and digital experience. Each has shaped how I notice problems and work through them.
I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Master of Management from the University of British Columbia. Art taught me to observe closely and think visually. Business gave me another way to consider priorities, constraints and the decisions behind the work.
Over the past seven-plus years, I’ve worked across digital experience, UX, analytics, web strategy and product ownership. That includes four years at BCIT, digital product experience at Honda Canada, and analytics consulting for arts, cultural and educational organizations.
The part I enjoy most is connecting what the data tells us with what people actually experience, then helping a team decide what to improve.
MY CREATIVE PHILOSOPHY
From palette
to patterns.
The connection between my creative and analytical work begins with observation.
In art, I notice colour, rhythm, structure and relationships. In digital work, I look for patterns in how people navigate, engage and make decisions.
A pattern can raise a question. A conversation can change how I read it. A small change in structure or language can make an experience easier to understand.
“Palette to Patterns” describes that way of working: looking carefully, making connections and turning what I learn into something useful.
EXPERIENCE THAT SHAPES MY WORK
Across institutions,
audiences and digital experiences.
EDUCATION
BCIT
Four years working across institutional web experience, web operations, accessibility and digital improvements.
My work connected content management, UX, web standards and stakeholder needs, with a focus on helping people find and use institutional information.
DIGITAL PRODUCT
Honda Canada
Product ownership for Acura’s digital experience, working across customer journeys, usability and analytics.
The work involved understanding issues, coordinating priorities and collaborating with stakeholders and delivery teams on digital improvements.
CONSULTING
Arts, culture & education
Analytics consulting and digital support for organizations working with cultural, educational and community audiences.
This work informs my focus on useful measurement, clearer reporting and recommendations that fit the team and resources available.
HOW I LIKE TO WORK
Careful questions.
Practical next steps.
Understand the people
Start with the audiences using the experience and the team responsible for making it work. Their needs and constraints matter.
Investigate with care
Consider the data, content, structure and experience together. Check assumptions and be clear about what the evidence can support.
Make the work usable
Explain findings clearly and recommend improvements a team can understand, prioritize and act on.
EDUCATION & CONTINUED LEARNING
Building connections
between disciplines.
My education brings together creative practice and business. Continued learning in analytics, UX, branding and digital delivery helps me keep connecting those perspectives.

THE CREATIVE SIDE
Art remains
part of who I am.
Alongside my consulting work, I maintain a visual arts and illustration practice exploring memory, structure, movement and imagined spaces.
Making art gives me another way to think, observe and work through ideas.
